Joint formulary (PAD)

OVERVIEW

The Prescribing Advisory Database (PAD) is a collaborative project with Surrey Heartlands ICB to design and deploy a joint formulary platform which has now been used across the Surry healthcare system for over ten years. The platform has been fully updated to reflect new NHS joint formulary requirements, along with a comprehensive adminstration function to support medicines management teams.

FEATURES

All indexing and medicines reference links have been designed to avoid using the BNF reference website to ensure compliance with BNF web access policy, which means that the PAD platform does not require additional surcharge funding for BNF website link access as per some of other forumulary platforms. The pricing for this platform is therefore highly competitive and is calculated on a per capita population basis to ensure fair distribution of cost across different size regions.
